UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman has regained consciousness and is able to breathe and speak on his own.
Coleman’s daughter, Kenzie, posted a video on social media from her father’s hospital room.
– I am the happiest person in the world. I swear I’m so lucky! I can’t believe my parents are alive,” Coleman said.
Earlier, we learned that Mark saved his parents by pulling them out of the fire. However, he later ended up in intensive care.
Coleman, 59, last fought in February 2010, losing to Randy Couture via second-round submission at UFC 109. He has 16 wins and ten losses in mixed martial arts.
Coleman is an NCAA Division I champion and a former member of the U.S. Freestyle Wrestling Team. He won the UFC championship in 1997 by defeating Dan Severn.
Coleman became the fifth fighter in history to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
