The fight between Russian Vyacheslav Vasilevsky and Belarusian Vladislav Kovalev, nicknamed Belaz, was declared invalid, the press service of Ural FC reports.
The fight according to the rules of MMA glove boxing between Vasilevsky and Kovalev took place on March 1 in Moscow at the Ural FC 6 tournament and ended with Vyacheslav’s victory by split decision. However, Kovalev’s team filed an appeal, which was considered by the Russian Boxing Federation. Violations of the rules were identified in the actions of the referee, and it was decided to grant Kovalev’s appeal and declare the fight invalid.
Even after the fight, both fighters agreed to a rematch within Ural FC.
