Our countryman lost an enemy and gained a new one in just a few hours on Tuesday.
Ukrainian contender for the WBC junior middleweight title Sergei Bogachuk will fight Brian Mendoza. PBC reports. The vacant WBC junior middleweight title is at stake in the fight.
Note that Bogachuk was supposed to fight Sebastian Fundora for the WBC title, but the fight was cancelled. The American will replace Keith Thurman in the fight against WBO junior middleweight champion Timofey Tszyu.
At the end of the fight between Fundora and Tszyu are the WBO and WBC belts. The winner must fight Terence Crawford. Boxing night will take place on March 30 in Las Vegas.
Bogachuk has already commented on the change of opponent and named his plan for the future.
“I told you it would be dramatic. All kidding aside, I will fight anyone. Good luck Fundor. The fight with Mendoza is a gift for my fans. Watch my fight on March 30th. Enjoy the show,” Bogachuk wrote.
