The event will take place in San Diego at the Pekanga Arena.
The date and place of the fight between the WBO International lightweight champion have been officially confirmed Denis Berinchik (18-0, 9 KOs) and Mexican Emmanuel Navarrete (38-2, 31 KO) for the vacant belt WBO lightweight champion.
The fight, as previously reported, will take place on May 18, 2024 in San Diego (USA). It will be hosted by the Pekanga Arena complex.
The World Boxing Organization sanctioned this fight at the end of January.
29-year-old Navarrete finished in a draw with Brazilian Robson Conceicao in November 2023 and retained his WBO super featherweight title. If he defeats Berinchik, the Mexican will become world champion in four different weight categories.
The 35-year-old Ukrainian fought his last fight in August against Swede Anthony Yigit. Berinchyk won by unanimous decision and defended the WBO International title, which he has held since 2018.
