American fighter Corey Anderson defeated the representative of Northern Ireland Carla Moore in a fight for the vacant Bellator light heavyweight championship at a tournament in Belfast.
The fight lasted all five rounds and ended with Anderson winning by unanimous decision.
Previously, a Russian fighter held the champion belt in the light heavyweight division Vadim Nemkov but after four defenses, he decided to move up to heavyweight.
For Anderson, this victory was the 18th of his career with six defeats. Moore suffered his third defeat in 12 victories.
In the co-main event bout of the evening, Brazilian Patricio Freire defeated Canadian Jeremy Kennedy by third-round technical knockout and defended the featherweight championship belt.
Freire won the 36th victory of his career with seven defeats. For Kennedy, this defeat was the fourth in 19 victories.
