Froch – about a possible third fight between Usik and Joshua: This fight will not be close, the Ukrainian is too superior to the Briton

The ex-world champion bets on the Ukrainian champion

Former world super middleweight champion Carl Froch suggested that in a possible third fight between the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world champion Alexander Usik and British Anthony Joshua The Ukrainian boxer will win again.

“I have to choose Usyk. He’s already beaten Joshua twice. When Usyk puts his foot on the gas, increases the pace and workrate, he dominates. This fight will not be close, Usyk is too superior to Joshua.

It’s a good question, though, because AJ looked very good against Ngannou, who was in his second fight. This sounds funny. Joshua looks his opponents in the eyes, moves forward, throws punches, moves his body. That’s why he knocked out Ngannou,” Froch said.

Joshua and Usyk had two fights with each other. In September 2021, Alexander won by unanimous decision and became the new WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion. In August 2022, a rematch took place – the Ukrainian won a split decision.

Joshua defeated former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou. Already in the first round, the Briton shocked the Cameroonian with a powerful blow, knocking him down. Francis managed to get up and continue the fight, but in the second round Joshua carried out another great attack and knocked out his opponent.

Usik will fight for the title of absolute world champion on May 18 in Riyadh against Briton Tyson Fury. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman announced that an agreement had been reached between the boxers for a re-fight.
