In his podcast “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson”, the American revealed to the therapist Sean McFarlandguest of the episode in question, who is a specialist in trauma and addictions, who feels his life expectancy has been shortened.
“We’re all going to die one day, of course. So I look in the mirror, I see these little spots on my face, and I say, ‘Wow, that means my expiration date is coming, very soon’”, revealed the former athlete. Tyson, who is 56 years old, also made profound comments about the lifelong relevance of money, in his view.

“I always tell people”he explained. “They think money will make them happy, they’ve never had money before. When you have a lot of money, you can’t expect anyone to love you”. Furthermore, Mike revealed that the concept of financial security is relative and that it is not certain if his wife, Lakiha Spiceryou will have what you need when he passes away.
“Which [de fato] and security? I don’t know. When you put money in your bank and you get a check every week and you can live for the rest of your life, is that security? That doesn’t mean you won’t catch a disease, or get hit by a car. Can money protect you when you jump off a bridge?” he asked.

In an interview in February of this year, however, Mike Tyson shocked everyone by talking about his mother, who died of cancer when the former boxer was just 16 years old. Among so many strong episodes and controversial statements during his career, the American did not mince his words and was sincere in his response.
“One of the best things that ever happened to me was my mother dying”pointed out the American. “My mother would have spoiled me. No way would I get into a street fight. No way would I learn to defend myself.”. At the time, the statements were given to the podcast “Club Shay Shay”.
