As UFC President Dana White said on his social media page, this fight will be the main event of the evening and will take place in the form of five rounds of three minutes each. The winner of this fight will fight for the promotion’s middleweight title. Now the champion belt in this weight category belongs to South African Drikus Du Plessis.
Khamzat Chimaev fought 13 fights in MMA and won them all. In his last fight, he defeated Nigerian Kamaru Usman by split decision.
Robert Whittaker won 25 mixed martial arts fights and suffered 7 defeats. In the previous fight, he defeated Brazilian Paulo Costa by unanimous decision.
