Athletistic/MMA. The fight between Russian heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Sergei Pavlovich, scheduled for June 22 in Saudi Arabia, could be canceled because the fighters do not want to face each other, a TASS source reports.

According to preliminary announcements, Volkov and Pavlovich were supposed to meet in the octagon. However, according to the source, the two athletes maintain a friendly relationship and train together from time to time. Therefore, such a fight is only possible if he has title status.

Volkov already had an agreement for a fight with Brazilian Gilton Almeida. In this regard, negotiations are currently underway between the league and managers to cancel the fight between Volkov and Pavlovich.

Representatives of Volkov expressed surprise at the announcement of the fight with Pavlovich, noting that Alexander himself learned about this possibility only last night.
