Russian Alexey Balyko, 30, has made weight, passed a hydration test and is ready to fight Panrit, who will headline the ONE Championship fight card on March 29.
Balyko’s opponent in the Muay Thai fight up to 140 pounds (63.5 kg) will be 27-year-old Panrit (Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree).
Panrith aims to resume its winning streak after beating Kongklai in February, but will struggle to face the rising Russian power. Balyko currently has a perfect 2-0 record in ONE Friday Fights, including a knockout victory over Suakim (three-division Lumpini Stadium champion) in his last fight. The Russian, who now represents the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA camp team, has 22 victories and 9 defeats.
Both fighters have concussive power that could stop the fight at any time, so there is no room for error in the show-closing bout. Balyko has every chance to shine and try to land the coveted contract on the main roster for $100,000, as Natalya Dyachkova managed to do earlier this month.
Among the 12 fights on the ONE Friday Fights 57 card, the ONE debut of Russian Mikhail Gritsanenko against Sei Matsuda at 163 pounds (73.9 kg) is also announced. The Russian has a 7 cm height advantage and a little more experience in the cage. Balyko has a professional record of 4-1, while Matsuda, whose background is in kickboxing, has a clean record of 3-0.
The tournament broadcast will begin on March 29 at 3:30 p.m. (Moscow time) on and Match! Fighter”.
