The Ukrainian fighter asked for maximum support, not hate
Ukrainian mixed martial arts fighter Igor Lost (20-5) spoke about his next fight against the Russian Sharabutdin Magomedova (12-0).
“Many people have already heard that I will fight Shara Bullet in June of this year. I am the kind of person who has never refused fights because I consider it a weakness. I’m here to become the UFC middleweight champion and to do that I need to fight everyone. I have never chosen my opponents, I accept all challenges and agree to the fights that the UFC gives me. Everything is God’s will, God knows best what is best for me, I trust God and the Energy that God sends me. Thank God for everything,” Loser wrote on Instagram.
“I ask you for maximum support, not hate, because this fight is very important for me, I am more motivated than ever and with God’s help I will do everything possible to win on my own, and God will do the impossible.”
“As for the opponent… I think he is too overrated and in the fight I will show you why I think so. His nickname is Pirate. Duelist will board the Pirate and drown him in Saudi Arabia.”
“Happy everyone! Glory to Ukraine – Glory to the Heroes – Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Dear Ukraine, I love you.”
The Lost-Magomedov fight will take place on June 22 as part of the UFC show in Saudi Arabia. In the main event of the event, former champion Robert Whittaker from Australia will meet Khamzat Chimaev, who represents the UAE, for the title of mandatory middleweight contender.
In his last fight, Lost won a landslide victory over Pole Robert Bryczek at UFC Fight Night 236 in Las Vegas in February.
In the fight with Brycek, Lost broke his losing streak in the Octagon. Earlier in December, the Ukrainian lost to Brazilian Rodolfo Bellato as part of the UFC on ESPN 52 event in Austin.
