The former world heavyweight champion believes that the WBC title holder will not allow a rematch with Ngannou.
Fans of Oleksandr Usyk should not hope for an easy victory for the Ukrainian in the fight against Tyson Fury. Tony Bellew thinks so.
The former world heavyweight champion said anyone hoping for a rematch with Ngannou will be disappointed. It is said that at that time the holder of the WBC belt perceived everything as a show, which is why he almost lost.
However, the Briton will prepare well for the fight with the Ukrainian boxer.
“I still think Tyson just missed out on Francis Ngannou, let’s be honest, it was a bit of a circus, Fury just got caught up in it all. He’s in good shape now. Tyson was in the last fight on the floor, like so many others, but he understands what is at stake in the fight against Usik.
Fury knows he can become the first undisputed world champion since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999. Therefore, Tyson knows the scale of this event and will prepare accordingly and be ready for the 18th May. If he wins, he is ready to take his place among the best athletes,” Boxing Social quoted Bellew as saying.
We remind you that the fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion between Usik and Fury will take place on May 18 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Bellew previously named Fury’s only advantage over Usyk.
