His opponent will be Steve Claggett, the fight will take place in Miami
WBO world junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez (19–1, 13 KOs) is most likely to hold his next fight on June 29 against Steve Claggett (20-3-1, 14 KOs).
The deal for this fight is close to being finalized and officially confirmed. Lopez’s next defense of his title will take place in Miami.
Let us remember that in June last year, Teofimo announced that he was retiring as a boxer and renouncing the championship title, but later changed his mind about leaving boxing and announced his readiness to defend his belt. The American managed to challenge the absolute world lightweight champion Devin Haney.
On the night of February 9, 2024, Lopez retained his WBO junior welterweight title by defeating Jemaine Ortiz by unanimous decision.
