Former Russian Bellator champion fighter Vitaly Minakov beat Briton Oli Thompson in Moscow.
On Friday in Moscow, Minakov, 39, defeated former UFC and Bellator fighter Oli Thompson, 44. The fight took place according to the rules of boxing with MMA gloves and lasted all three rounds. Minakov won by unanimous decision.
“I would like to thank my friends, family and loved ones. I expected more. All the mistakes I had now have been left behind. Need to work. The result is positive. I’m back. Not yet the one we expected, but more to come,” Minakov said immediately after the fight.
Minakov has 22 wins and two losses in MMA. The Russian fought his last fight at the first and only Bellator tournament in Russia in October 2021.
