Natalya Dyachkova’s fight against current ONE Strawweight Muay Thai Champion Smilla Sundell is included on the ONE Fight Night 22 card.
On May 4 in Bangkok at Lumpini Stadium, Asia’s largest martial arts league ONE Championship will hold the ONE Fight Night 22 tournament. Its card included a fight between the undefeated ONE Dyachkova and Swede Smilla Sundell. Both rivals are in the ONE League with the same record – four wins and no losses. Two victories were achieved by technical knockout.
Smille Hurricane Sundell is 19 years old and her defeated opponents include Jackie Buntan and Alicia Rodriguez. From her early childhood, she practiced karate. At the age of 10, Sundell and her family moved to Thailand, where she became interested in Muay Thai and by age 16 became one of the best fighters in this style according to the WBC. Upon joining ONE in 2022, she won the strawweight title from Jackie Buntan in her second fight, becoming the youngest belt holder in the promotion’s history.
Natalya Karelskaya Lynx Dyachkova began her ONE career with a series of ONE Friday Fights qualifying tournaments. The last time she entered the ring was less than a month ago: on March 15, at the ONE Friday Fights 55 tournament, she won the 30th victory of her career and signed a contract of $100,000 with the ONE League.
It took Dyachkova less than two minutes to deal with 24-year-old Cerillo Cerigno: she clearly threw an overhand forehand and, in combination, grabbed her opponent’s chin with her right hand, then finished with a left hook. Cerigno fell to the canvas, tried to get up, but fell back onto her back, and the fight was stopped early at 01:44 of the first round.
After securing her fourth consecutive victory in the ONE Championship league, Dyachkova received an invitation to join the main roster of Asia’s biggest league.
