The former world heavyweight champion has been given a chance to rest before his next fight.
It didn’t work as expected. Anthony Joshua will not fight this summer. This was announced by the former world heavyweight champion himself.
The British boxer noted that he plans to return to the ring in June, but will do so no earlier than September, but for now he will rest.
“They told me I would come back around September. I was hoping I’d beat in June. So now I have time for myself: go on dates, socialize a little.
“I’m training now, but I have about two months before I get to a full training camp,” Joshua was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
Joshua previously announced his plans to retire.
