Usik about the Tyson-Paul fight: If people want to see the show, fine, give it to them

The fight between the legendary boxer and the famous YouTube blogger is scheduled for July 20

WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Alexander Usik spoke about the upcoming fight of the former absolute world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and famous YouTube blogger and boxer Jake Paul.

“Listen, it’s just a show. Tyson is a very famous person around the world. Jake Paul is a young man who wants to box, who wants to help young people. But this is a show, this is a big show. If people want to see the show, fine, give it to them. This is normal for me,” Usyk said.

The fight between Tyson and Paul will be an exhibition. In this case, the fight will take place according to standard boxing rules.

The fight is scheduled to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TLDR) will require Mike to undergo specific medical tests in order to be cleared to compete under professional boxing rules.

Tyson had his last professional fight in 2005. Mike lost by TKO in the sixth round to Irishman Kevin McBride.

Usyk’s next fight will be against WBC title holder Tyson Fury. The unification match will take place on May 18 in Riyadh.
