Russian Vladimir Lamanov (up to 58 kg) beat his compatriot Valery Ergalov. Another Russian Mikhail Kashurnikov (over 98 kg) showed himself stronger than his compatriot Hasan Kharkhachaev in the final.
Russian representative Ibragim Kortoev (up to 71 kg) lost in the final to Ukrainian Andrey Kucherenko.
In women’s sports competitions in sambo, gold medals were won by Russians Oksana Kobeleva (up to 50 kg), Elizaveta Khachikova (up to 54 kg), Ekaterina Tsybert (up to 59 kg), Daria Kazantseva (up to 72 kg) and Elena Allenova. (up to 80 kg).
