The famous athlete has a blood clot in the heart and aorta, as well as gangrene of the leg
Famous Ukrainian boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov underwent heart surgery.
“I came out of anesthesia, I have a new heart and tomorrow is my birthday. This is the gift I received from the doctors at the Kyiv Heart Institute. Thank you, life goes on, which means I will help someone too. And while I was in intensive care, I came up with a new, free weight loss project. A couple of days to recover and you’ll find out everything.”
In February, it was reported that Uzelkov’s health was deteriorating. In particular, the ex-boxer was diagnosed with a blood clot in the heart and aorta, as well as gangrene of the leg.
A native of Vinnitsa competed in 34 professional matches, suffering four defeats. During his career, Uzelkov held the WBA, IBO and WBO Intercontinental champion titles.
However, in the championship title fights, the Ukrainian lost to Eduard Gutknecht (fight for the EBU European champion title) and Beibut Shumenov (fight for the WBA world light heavyweight title).
