The Ukrainian boxer wants to focus on the fight for the title of absolute champion and does not think about anything else.
Oleksandr Usyk has commented on the words of his former opponent Tony Bellew that he has a good chance of defeating WBC title holder Tyson Fury.
According to the WBA, WBO and IBF super heavyweight world champion, he ignores the various statements and focuses only on his preparation.
“Is my style ideal for beating Fury? I don’t know. Look, it doesn’t matter to me. I have a lot of respect for Tony because he’s a good friend of mine. My focus is my camp. I don’t read world news and blah -blah blah… I’m just here, this is my preparation, my focus is only May 18, my focus is my team.
My style is nice. I think this is my opinion. I don’t know, maybe people think differently, but it doesn’t suit me. Maybe they think my style is good or bad – it doesn’t matter to me. I like my style. “I have great style,” Usyk said in a comment to Seconds Out.
We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury is scheduled for May 18 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Earlier, Usik spoke about what he expects from Fury in the fight against himself.
