Joshua vows to give up championship belts if Usyk wins

British boxer Antoine Joshua said he would give up the championship belts if the Ukrainian wins Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch.

Usyk in September 2021 defeated Joshua and won his titles according to the versions of the World Boxing Association (WBA) with the prefix Super, the World Boxing Organization (WBO), the heavyweight of the International Boxing Federation (IBF). The rematch is set to take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.

“I feel like I’m not seen as someone who is the dominant heavyweight in the division. This great Anthony Joshua goes and wins, becomes a three-time champion. I’m going to give those belts away. Because you have to learn to respect myself as a person. I am tired and I do not want to be respected for the belts I have. I want to be respected because of human qualities, – quotes the words of Joshua Mirror .

Usyk, 35, has 19 wins in the professional ring (13 by knockout), due to Joshua, 32, 24 wins (22 by knockout) with two losses.
