The promoter is confident that Tyson Fury will be able to exploit the Ukrainian’s weaknesses
Promoter Frank Warren stated that the holder of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO titles Alexander Usik has problems when he misses blows to the body. Warren believes WBC champion Tyson Fury will take advantage of the Ukrainian’s weaknesses.
“I’ve watched a lot of his fights since his amateur days. He’s a little whiny when it comes to body shots.”
“He complains to the referee a lot. He doesn’t like this. For me, the biggest proponent of exploiting a fighter’s weaknesses is ‘Professor’ Fury.”
The unification fight between Usik and Fury was first scheduled for February 17, but due to Tyson’s injury it was postponed to May 18. The event will be hosted by Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
