Athletistic / Boxing. Frank Warren, the promoter of British boxer Tyson Fury, insulted Ukrainian Alexander Usik. The manager did this a month before the unification fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight boxing champion.
“I’ve watched a lot of Usik’s fights since his amateur days. I can say that Alexander is a crybaby when it comes to body shots. He often complains to the judges, and that has always been the case in his career. You can say that “It’s his Achilles heel, he really doesn’t like it. I saw him before his fight with Dubois, and he probably also heard that Usyk really doesn’t like body shots,” Warren said as quoted by Daily Sports.
On November 16, 2023, it became known that the unification fight between Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury had been postponed until 2024. Initially, their fight was to take place on December 23 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), but after the difficult victory for the Briton over Ngannou, his team announced that Tyson would not be ready to face the Ukrainian in December. Note that Fury beat Ngannou by split decision.
The new date for the Usik vs. Fury fight is May 18.
