The boxer met with Ukrainian soldiers who are undergoing rehabilitation
Interim WBC junior middleweight champion Sergei Bogachuk visited the Ukrainian Embassy in Mexico and met with Ukrainian military personnel who are undergoing rehabilitation.
“We visited the Ukrainian Embassy in Mexico today. We met with our defenders who are currently undergoing rehabilitation, thank you everyone for your courage!!! Glory to Ukraine !!! Glory to the heroes !!! And many thanks to the WBC for supporting our country and our people!!,” the Ukrainian wrote.
Let us remind you that Bogachuk received the WBC interim champion belt at a special ceremony. The event took place in Mexico with the participation of WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman.
Let us remind you that Bogachuk confidently defeated American Brian Mendoza in a fight that took place at the end of March in Las Vegas. At the end of 12 rounds, all judges gave the victory to Bogachuk – 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111.
Bogachuk became the mandatory challenger according to the WBC for a fight with Sebastian Fundora for two championship belts in junior middleweight. The American has a choice – another official challenger from the WBO, former absolute champion in two weight categories Terence Crawford.
