Jake Paul wants to have an official fight with Mike Tyson, not an exhibition

Boxers intend to submit a corresponding request to the Texas Commission

Famous YouTube blogger and boxer Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) insists his fight against the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) was official. Both boxers intend to apply to the Texas Commission to obtain appropriate status.

It was previously reported that the Tyson-Paul event will be held as an exhibition fight. However, the fight itself will take place according to standard boxing rules.

The fight is scheduled to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TLDR) will require Mike to undergo specific medical tests in order to be cleared to compete under professional boxing rules.

In November 2020, Tyson had an exhibition fight with former world champion in five weight categories, Roy Jones. The match ended in a draw. On the undercard of the event, Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson.

Tyson had his last professional fight in 2005. Mike lost by TKO in the sixth round to Irishman Kevin McBride.
