Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor is about to have a rematch with the former boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather reports The Sun.
According to the publication, personal terms have already been agreed between the two fighters, but an agreement has yet to be reached on the number of rounds as McGregor is set for 10 rounds. It should be noted that the fight will take place in light weight (up to 70 kg). McGregor will receive around $158 million for the rematch.
“Conor will only accept a fight if Floyd is willing to put his professional record on the line, so the fight will not be an exhibition fight, it will be an official fight,” a source close to McGregor said.
In 2017, the Irishman lost to Mayweather in a 10th round technical knockout boxing match.
Mayweather has 50 wins in 50 fights.
