Athletistic/ MMA. UFC President Dana White has commented on former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov’s claim that Islam Makhachev is the best lightweight of our time.
“Khabib keeps saying that Islam Makhachev is the best lightweight in the world, that he will be the next champion, that he will dominate all opponents. To do this, he must first overcome Charles Oliveira. Oliveira he’s not a passing opponent, he’s a warrior. I can’t wait to fight him,” White said.
The fight between Russian Islam Makhachev and Brazilian Charles Oliveira for the vacant UFC lightweight title will take place on October 22 at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi.
