The fight between Berinchik and Navarrete will take place on May 18, 2024 in San Diego.
CEO K2 Promotions Alexander Krasyuk revealed details of the agreement Denis Berinchik (18-0, 9 KOs) and the Mexican Emmanuel Navarrete (38-1-1, 31 KOs).
The vacant belt is at stake in the fight WBO lightweight champion. At the same time, the contract stipulates a rematch between the Ukrainian and the Mexican. Another contract option is fights with champions of other associations, including a show with WBC champion Shakur Stevenson.
The fight between Berinchik and Navarrete will take place on May 18, 2024 in San Diego (USA). It will be hosted by the Pekanga Arena complex. The World Boxing Organization sanctioned this fight at the end of January.
29-year-old Navarrete finished in a draw with Brazilian Robson Conceicao in November 2023 and retained his WBO super featherweight title. If he defeats Berinchik, the Mexican will become world champion in four different weight categories.
The 35-year-old Ukrainian fought his last fight in August against Swede Anthony Yigit. Berinchyk won by unanimous decision and defended the WBO International title, which he has held since 2018.
