Head of the UFC Dana White said he had no doubts the Irish fighter would return Conor McGregor at shows.
The fight between the former UFC champion in two weight categories, Irishman McGregor, against American Michael Chandler will take place on June 29 as part of the UFC 303 tournament in Las Vegas.
“It’s never difficult with Conor. I say it all the time: Conor has always been easy to deal with. He’s a smart guy. “Conor is a die-hard UFC fan and will remain so until his retirement,” White said at a press conference.
McGregor, 35, has 22 wins and 6 losses; he previously held the UFC championship belts in both the lightweight and featherweight divisions. The Irishman has not entered the Octagon since July 2021.
Chandler is 37 years old and has 23 wins and 8 losses in his career.
