Father Haney: I’m rooting for Kambosos, not the crybaby Lomachenko

The fight for the vacant IBF lightweight belt will take place on May 12

Bill Haneyfather and coach of WBC junior welterweight titleholder Devin Haney, said he will support the Australian George Kambosos in a fight against a Ukrainian ex-world champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko.

“Of course I like Kambosos and his family. I like him, I like the Australian fans. So I’m definitely rooting for George, not that crybaby Lomachenko.”

The fight between Vasily and George for the vacant IBF lightweight belt will take place on May 12. The event, which also includes two undercard fights, will take place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, starting at approximately 5 a.m. Kyiv time.

Let us remember that in May 2023, Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney in a fight for the title of absolute world champion. In turn, Kambosos defeated Briton Maxi Hughes in his last fight, winning the IBO lightweight title.
