Russian boxer Pavel Sosulin said his goal is to win the IBA championship belt.

— At the moment I box according to the IBA version and I intend to continue competing there. The main goal is the IBA world title. I believe this belt will be on par with all world belts. If we talk about the benefits of participating in IBA Night of Champions tournaments, we don’t have any downtime, we box often. There is no question about the organization. Additionally, all fights are competitive, there is a high level of opposition. So there are only advantages. Our task is to go out and show beautiful boxing so that the public can appreciate our confrontations,” said Sosulin, whose remarks to were provided by the press service of the Russian Boxing Federation.
On April 20, Sosulin will fight in Ufa as part of the IBA Night of Champions tournament; the Russian’s opponent will be Ulugbek Sobirov from Uzbekistan. Initially, Sosulin’s rivals could have been the American Peter Dobson and the Congolese Emmany Kalombo.
“I changed two opponents and we agreed on a higher weight category. Ulugbek Sobirov is a good opposition to organize a great boxing so that the public can see a fight between two good boxers with good experience. I think we will show some cool boxing that is worth watching,” Sosulin added.
