The president WBC Mauricio Sulaiman officially presented the special World Boxing Council beltwho will be on the line in the battle for the absolute world title between the holder of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO titles Alexander Usik and WBC champion Tyson Fury.
This belt, whose design uses the colors of the Ukrainian and British flags, was presented before a press conference dedicated to the fight of two Russian boxers, Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev, for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion on June 1.
The unification fight between Usik and Fury will take place on May 18. The list of other fights that will take place as part of the boxing evening in Saudi Arabia is also known. Among them is the fight between Ukrainian Daniel Lapin and Portuguese Octavio Pudivitra for the WBA Continental light heavyweight title.
The event will be hosted by Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The WBC proposes to reform the judges for the reporting fight, increasing their number to 5-6 people. Penalties for boxers who refuse to fight are $10 million.
