The Ukrainian ex-world champion gave his forecast for the fight between the representatives of the aggressor country in the light heavyweight division.
Alexander Gvozdik spoke about the fight between WBO, WBC and IBF champion in his division Artur Beterbiev and WBA title holder Dmitry Bivol. The Ukrainian ex-champion called the latter an overrated fighter.
According to Gvozdyk, in a battle between two representatives of the aggressor country, Beterbiev would win an early victory.
“The last two or three years of his amateur career he fought at cruiserweights, naturally he was bigger than Bivol, who I heard was not that heavy.
Beterbiev will be bigger, stronger and heavier. Bivol is a good fighter, but in my personal opinion he is overrated. He’s good, but people think he’s invincible. apparently not. I don’t think Beterbiev thinks so either. It will be a very tough battle for Bivol.
Beterbiev just knocks people out, that’s how he wins fights. In the fight with me, with Anthony Yarde, he was inferior, and then he did his job. I think the same thing will eventually happen with Bivol,” Boxing Scene quotes Gvozdyk as saying.
Note that the Beterbiev-Bivol fight will take place on June 1 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadi.
Let’s remember that Deontay Wilder once called the fight with Zhang Zhilei “his last chance.”
