The fight will take place on June 1 in Saudi Arabia.
Mandatory challenger for IBF title Filip Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) said he would retire if he lost to the British heavyweight Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs).
“Of course I’ll leave. I think I’m the best. I work hard and have been doing this sport for 18 years, working like a damn maniac. If I lose to Dubois, then fuck this shit. I won’t be as good as I think I am, so I’ll retire.”
The fight between Hrgovic and Dubois will take place on June 1 in Saudi Arabia. Also as part of a large-scale boxing evening, a fight between Deontay Wilder and Zhang Zhilei will take place. The main event of the event on June 1 will be a fight for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion between WBO title holder Dmitry Bivol and WBC, WBO and IBF champion Artur Beterbiev.
Dubois knocked out Jarrell Miller in December 2023, and Hrgovic defeated Mark De Mori from Australia by technical knockout in the first round at the same boxing evening in Riyadh.
