The fight will take place on May 4 in Las Vegas.
World Boxing Council presented a special WBC beltwho will be at stake in the fight of the absolute world champion in super middleweight Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (60-2-2) and Jaime Munguia (43-0).
The trophy was called the “Tamaulipas Belt”, in honor of the Mexican state where the parents of WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman are from. The designers who created the belt used the art traditions of this region.
The fight between Canelo and Munguia will take place on May 4. The boxing show will take place in American Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
In his last fight, Canelo defeated Jermell Charlo via unanimous decision in October. Munguia defeated John Ryder by TKO in January.
