World champions Tasoev and Adamyan will perform at the European Judo Championships

2023 judo world champions Inal Tasoev And Arman Adamian will take part in the European Championships which will take place in Zagreb, reports the press service of the Russian Judo Federation.

Adamyan and Matvey Kanikovsky will perform in the category up to 100 kg, Tasoev, as well as the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics Tamerlan Bashaev – in the weight category over 100 kg.

In the women’s category up to 70 kg, Madina Taymazova, bronze medalist at the 2020 Olympic Games, will compete for the awards.

In other declared weight categories:

Men

up to 60 kg – Ramazan Abdulaev

up to 66 kg – Yago Abuladze

up to 73 kg – Makhmadbek Makhmadbekov and Danil Lavrentiev

up to 90 kg – Mikhail Igolnikov

women

up to 48 kg – Sabina Gilyazova

up to 52 kg – Glafira Borisova

up to 57 kg – Ksenia Galitskaya and Daria Kurbonmamadova

up to 63 kg – Kamila Badurova and Dali Liluashvili

up to 78 kg – Nadezhda Tatarchenko

over 78 kg – Elis Startseva.

The tournament will take place from April 25 to 27. Ranking points earned by athletes during the tournament will count toward Olympic qualification.
