Alexander Usik’s promoter still doubts that the British boxer will enter the ring on May 18.

Fans may not see the showdown for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. Alexander Krasyuk doubts the match.

The promoter of WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO champion Oleksandr Usik has called on Filip Hrgovic to be ready to replace Tyson Fury.

According to the functionary, he still has no confidence in the British boxer.

“Let’s just pray he’s wearing a helmet when sparring – unlike the last time he got cut in sparring. That’s true, but the video – I don’t trust it. I think Tyson Fury didn’t wear a helmet and I cut off, but that’s my opinion.

IBF mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic will take over if Fury does it again. He is preparing for Daniel Dubois on June 1st, but has to be ready on May 18th to replace Tyson for whatever reason. Otherwise, we will lose the IBF title.

This is one of our conditions. The goal is to become the absolute champion. It’s not about money – it’s about legacy, it’s about fame. Tyson Fury said he didn’t care, but at the press conference he said: “Wow, the IBF, WBO, WBC, WBA, Ring magazine, undisputed, lineal titles will be on the line.” I’ve never heard of this,” boxingscene quotes Krasyuk.

We remind you that the fight between Fury and Usik will take place on May 18 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

Previously, Fury said what he would do if he lost to Usyk.
