Russian women will definitely fight for Olympic medals in women’s wrestling if they go to the Games in Paris, said Omar Murtazaliev, first vice-president of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR).
Russian wrestlers can win the remaining Olympic licenses at the World License Tournament to be held in Istanbul from May 9 to 12. Currently, they have obtained 12 licenses out of 18 possible: all six in freestyle wrestling, as well as two in Greco-Roman wrestling and four in women’s wrestling. Licenses are not registered.
