The former world heavyweight champion revealed when his fight with Fury will take place.
There will likely be no rematch between Oleksandr Usik and Tyson Fury. This time it was announced by Anthony Joshua.
The former world champion admitted that he hopes to fight the WBC world champion soon and has received support in this matter.
According to the Briton, the organizer of the fight between Usik and Fury – Turki Al ash-Sheikh – personally told him that Joshua should be ready in September.
“There’s a big change in boxing because there’s a new guy in Turki Al al-Sheikh. He’s taking the world by storm and giving the fans what they want. It’s amazing. So the fans will see us fight Fury if we want them.”
I know the fans love our fight, and so do I. I won’t go into detail now, but Turki Al ash-Sheikh is a man who prefers to act. The time is drawing near.
To be honest, he told me to be ready for September. A 5v5 tournament will take place on June 1, Fury and Usyk will fight in May, and in September I will start business. This is incomparable,” Joshua was quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
Let’s remember that Usik’s promoter previously named the condition for the Ukrainian’s refusal to rematch with Fury.
