#4 UFC light heavyweight Magomed Ankalaev (16-1 in MMA; 8-1 in UFC) commented on a recent title fight in his weight class, where Jiri Prochazka won the championship belt Glover Teixeira strangling the opponent in the fifth round.
“I watched that fight, but it’s not the best fight. Because both made mistakes. Teixeira was very wrong – he could have finished the fight earlier than expected somewhere. Prochaska rushed in, I don’t think he will be a threat to me. I think in all aspects, in position and on the pitch, I am not weaker than him. They just fought. There was no technology. Just stupidly cut. People love these fights. I like to fight with more tactical skill, miss a bit, do more myself, Ankalaev told .
On July 31, Ankalaev will face former title contender Anthony Smith (36 wins, 16 losses; No. 5 in the UFC light heavyweight rankings).
