Russian light heavyweight Magomed Ankalaev (16-1) commented on a potential Bellator rematch between his former amateur rival Vadim Nemkov (14-2) and title contender Corey Anderson (16-5).
Earlier, the first fight between Nemkov and Anderson ended without a winner being announced. Nemkov began to receive recommendations to organize training camps with Ankalaev.
“I’ve known Corey for a long time,” Ankalaev told . – When I flew to America for the first time, he helped me, I helped him. He’s a very tough guy, always going forward, a good fight. His endurance surprised me. I get along with a lot and I can take anyone, but he doesn’t give up his position. Tired or not tired, he goes all the way.
“What must Nemkov do to prepare for it?”
– Vadim is a very strong guy, he has a good catch. But he has to work on his stamina. And psychologically, it’s good. And so he has everything.
Vadim Nemkov currently holds the Bellator light heavyweight belt. Magomed Ankalaev could challenge for the UFC title if he defeats Anthony Smith at UFC 277 this weekend.
