Former absolute world champion in two weight categories Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) officially next fight will be against the WBA junior middleweight champion Israila Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs). The fight will take place on August 3 in Los Angeles.
In addition to the WBA belt, the interim WBO junior middleweight title will be at stake in the Crawford-Madrimov fight. Note that Terence can become a champion in the fourth weight category. The American held championship belts in the welterweight, junior welterweight and lightweight divisions.
Crawford last fought against Errol Spence in July 2023. Madrimov defeated Magomet Kubranov on March 8 to win the WBA junior middleweight title.
