Former undisputed junior welterweight champion Constantin Tszyu told he was happy with his son’s victory Nikita Tszyu against the Italian Danilo Creati.
Nikita Tszyu beat Creati in a boxing match in Sydney on Wednesday to retain his Australian junior middleweight title. The fight lasted all 10 rounds, the judges unanimously gave the victory to Tszyu.
“I’m happy with Nikita’s fight. He put up a much-needed fight at this stage of his career. A few minutes ago I spoke to him: he is in an excellent state of mind and is ready to continue his training. The most important thing is that the fight ended without injuries. Nikita didn’t get much either, that counts too. We know what to work on next. Now the main thing is to rest, at least for a week, to recover your brains. We will look further,” Tszyu told .
Nikita Tszyu is 26 years old, he has won 9 victories in 9 fights during his career. The athlete is the son of the former absolute world boxing champion at junior welterweight Konstantin Tszyu.
