Athletistic/MMA. Former UFC fighter Zubaira Tukhugov opened up about how Khabib helped him get back into the league after breaking his contract.
The fighter said the league terminated his contract. Khabib didn’t like it and he defended his friend. Nurmagomedov even offered to give up his place in the UFC to Tukhugov.
“No one ever talked about it. I was suspended, my contract with the UFC was terminated. Then Khabib told the UFC management: “Zubair will fight first, and then me, after the victory over McGregor, the UFC really needed Khabib, so.” they gave me a new contract. They also promised me a fight on the Abu Dhabi tournament card with Khabib and Makhachev. But then, Dana White said they didn’t have a place for me, so they’d give me a fight at the Moscow tournament. They tried to talk Khabib out of it, but he did it: “Okay, since you don’t. “I don’t have room for Zubaira, I’m going to terminate my contract and make him my place.” I was offered a lot of money for this fight. Finally, Hunter Campbell called me and told me he respected Khabib’s decision I took several fights off the card and played in Abu Dhabi,” Tukhugov said.
The fighter has 27 fights in MMA, 20 of which ended in victory. Tukhugov still left the UFC in March 2023.
