Nine Russians reached the final of the European Boxing Championships, which take place in Belgrade (Serbia).
In the completed fights, Edmond Khudoyan (up to 48 kg) defeated Ergunal Sebakhtin (Bulgaria), Dmitry Dvali (up to 54 kg) defeated Yasen Radev (Bulgaria), Eduard Savvin (up to 57 kg) defeated Arthur Bazeyan (Armenia), Gabil Mamedov (up to 63.5 kg) was stronger than Richard Kovacs (Hungary), Tarkhan Idigov (up to 67 kg) beat Ararat Harutyunyan (Armenia), Dzhambulat Bijamov (up to at 75 kg) beat Almir Memic (Serbia), Sharabutdin Ataev (up to 86 kg) beat Velko Raznatovic (Serbia) and Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (up to 92 kg) beat Sadam Magomedov (Serbia).
The Russian Vsevolod Shumkov (up to 60 kg) qualified without a fight for the final after the refusal of Tomislav Dzhinovich (Montenegro).
Savely Sadoma (up to 80 kg) lost to Rastko Simic (Serbia) and became the bronze medalist of the European Championship.
The European Championship will end on April 28. Russians participate in the tournament with national symbols.
