The promoter named the winners of the fights Hrgovic – Dubois and Usyk – Fury as possible opponents
Promoter Eddie Hearn said that he plans to organize the next fight of the former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in August or September.
“Anthony had four fights in 11 months – that’s a lot of training camp. Each camp lasts 10 weeks, so he completed 40 weeks in 11 months. AJ would probably like to fight in July, but I think it would be more like August or September.”
“Joshua and I had a meeting with Turki Al ash-Sheikh, and decided to wait until May 18th. If Fury beats Usyk, the demand for his fight with AJ will spiral out of control. But Tyson and Alexander have a contract for two fights.”
“Probably the opponent will be the winner of the fight between Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois. Or the winner of the Fury-Usyk fight. We understand that they have an agreement for two fights. In fact, the goal now is to fight for the world title. That’s really what Anthony wants to do.”
Previously, Joshua said that he would like to fight the next fight in June, but he was offered to postpone the fight to September. Anthony has more free time until the summer, after which he will return to a full training camp.
Joshua defeated former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou in his last fight. After the fight, Eddie Hearn named Anthony the No. 1 heavyweight boxer in the world. Tyson Fury responded to these words that the real number one will be determined in his fight with Usik.
