Russian Danil Lavrentiev won silver at the European Judo Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.
In the final of the weight category up to 73 kg, Lavrentyev lost to Azerbaijan Hedayat Heydarov. Joan-Benjamin Gaba (France) and Lasha Shavdatuashvili (Georgia) won bronze medals in this weight category.
The European Championship will end on April 27. The Russians are participating in the tournament in neutral status.
