Hearn: I would love to have Joshua fight Wilder or Fury

Usyk is not on Hearn’s list, although Anthony himself would like a fight with the Ukrainian

Promoter Eddie Hearn believes that the next fight of the former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua must be title.

“Honestly, I would like to see Joshua fight against a title opponent. I want him to be the heavyweight champion of the world again. But I would also love to fight Wilder. So if Deontay beats Zhang Zhilei, the world will be calling for this fight.”

“If Fury becomes the undisputed champion, the world will be calling for their fight. So AJ is in a great position. And we are confident that he will defeat them all.”

Hearn’s opinion about potential rivals differs from the ideas of Anthony himself, who declared his readiness for a trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk. AJ’s mentor Ben Davison expressed himself in a similar vein.

Joshua previously said that he would like to have his next fight in June, but he was offered to postpone the fight to September. Anthony has more free time until the summer, after which he will return to a full training camp.

Joshua defeated former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou in his last fight. After the fight, Eddie Hearn named Anthony the No. 1 heavyweight boxer in the world. Tyson Fury responded to these words that the real number one will be determined in his fight with Usik.
