The results of the Russian team at the European Championships indicate the level of boxing in the country, boxer Vladimir Myshev told .
The European Championship ended in Belgrade. The competitions took place in 13 weight categories for men and 12 for women. The men’s team won eight gold medals, one silver and one bronze. The Russian women’s team has three gold medals and seven silvers.
“The impressive result of the Russian team at the European Championships once again underlines the level of our athletes. I consider the result in the men’s and women’s competitions a great success. I sincerely congratulate the entire national team, including the entire technical staff.
Furthermore, I would like to emphasize the concern with which the athletes sang the anthem of our country – that is worth a lot. I hope that gradually our compatriots will start competing at the international level in other sports,” Myshev told .
