Oleksandr Usyk will defeat Tyson Fury and become the next absolute world boxing champion. So says George Groves.
According to the former world champion, the Ukrainian is far superior to his opponent in boxing skills and should win.
“Yes, I’m betting on Usik in the fight against Fury. I remember when Usik just moved up to heavyweight, I said he’s a dark horse and we shouldn’t count this guy out.
All these years we have seen how a heavyweight entered the heavyweight division and began to dominate. Many did not believe. They say he will never compete with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. No matter what they say, Usyk, I think, will win.
There is an opinion that a good boxer will beat a less good boxer. However, I think Usyk is an exceptional boxer. In terms of boxing ability, Usyk is much better,” said Groves to talkSPORT Boxing.
We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury is scheduled for May 18 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Fury has previously spoken about his important mission in the fight against Usik.
